Over the past several weeks you may have noticed a pattern. Maybe your websites have faced technical issues. Maybe your forums have been inundated with "trolls." Maybe your Twitter accounts and emails have been "spammed" incessantly. Let us assure you: These were not random acts.

In season 3, the writers destroyed something magical, something perfect. Chuck and Blair, or Chair as we affectionately call them, had an epic love. We waited patiently as they struggled to come to terms with their feelings for each other. We fell in love with them all over again when their relationship flourished. And then it was ripped away from us, in a completely out-of-character act of prostitution.

Since then we've been even more patient. Hoping that finally Chuck and Blair would find their way back to each other and resolve their issues. For a while it seemed like it was going to happen, but then out of nowhere came a prince, one that Blair had no reason to love. And if that wasn't enough, now Blair had another force to contend with: the completely incompatible and disgusting Dan Humphrey.

At first we were willing to accept Louis. We knew that it wouldn't go anywhere, and while the storyline was eyerollingly bad and dull, we assumed it would serve as the one struggle Chuck and Blair would have to overcome before finding their way back to each other. And sure enough they did, or at least seemed to -- even with a pregnancy hanging over their heads, Chuck and Blair were willing to overcome the odds and run away together. Happily ever after, the end.

But then the writers decided to play with our emotions again. Against all logic and common sense, Humphrey weaseled his way into Blair's affections. Manipulating her and taking advantage of her vulnerability, Humphrey stepped in and trampled over all of the progress made between Chuck and Blair in the last two seasons. And now, they're together, with no end in sight.

This will not stand. As we were saying, you may have noticed certain "attacks" in recent weeks. Well, it is we who claim responsibility for them. Who are "we," you ask?

We call ourselves the Chair Factory. First established in the summer of 2008, we are an organized faction of devoted Chair supporters who gather clandestinely within a series of underground groups, including message board forums, IRC channels, and other social platforms. Our mission is simple: to spread appreciation for Chair and dismantle the competition. If you were ever wondering why support for Chair on the internet seemed disproportionately vocal, you can thank us. Thanks to our routine support campaigns, we have helped pro-Chair slogans trend on Twitter, been victorious in numerous online polls, and helped build up our numbers. We have infiltrated the entertainment press and even your pro-Dair communities, sometimes disguising ourselves as friends. We have even removed entire communities who dare oppose us from the internet through extralegal means. The best part about all this? Most of you didn't even know we existed.

But make no mistake: we are numerous. At last count, the total number of formal members of our faction across our various groups numbered at over 75,000. But that's just the core contingent, sworn to secrecy. Our greatest success is that we have driven the Chair fandom in general, making it one of the most powerful ships in any fandom ever, without most of them even knowing anyone was behind it. While we'd love to take credit for that, let's not fool anyone: we may be responsible for the organized aspect, but it's this perfect couple that truly drives the passion of all these fans.

So why are we revealing ourselves now, you ask? It's simple: after much deliberation, and a formal vote, we felt it was time to make ourselves known. Ratings are falling, the show's renewal is up in the air, and frankly we're a little worried that these factors (coupled with the horrid Dair storyline) will impede the chances of our ship getting a happy ending. So starting back in February, we made it a point to begin a steady ramp up in attacks, building up steam and gaining traction by making people aware of our presence. And now after months of monitoring the fandom, we feel comfortable that most people sense a sea change coming. This is just the calm before the storm.

Starting today, April 11th, 2012, we are entering into all-out war. We will become a true insurgency and spread our message more loudly and vocally than ever before. Using the power of modern technology, soon no one will be ignorant to who Blair Waldorf and Chuck Bass are, or why we care about them so much. Every forum on the internet will hear our rallying cry, every Twitter account will see our trends, and every YouTube viewer will click on our videos. And if that doesn't work, know this: we are not afraid to play dirty. Pro-Dair news article? Say bye-bye to your hard work. Ultra-vocal Dair fans making lots of noise? Better not having any dirt, because we'll dig it up and expose it for all the world to see. Is your community disproportionately anti-Chair? Be prepared for the opposite to be made true. And if you really try to take us down? Four letters: DDoS.

Why are we doing this, you may ask? We're not going to lie: part of it's just because we can, for the lulz. But we also know what's at stake: if we don't make as much noise as possible, the ratings may continue to decline and Chair may lose their last chance to be happy when CW cancels it in the face of the low ratings Dair hath wrought. We feel this is our last ditch effort, all or nothing. In effect, we are trying to save the show.

But there's one last thing. Some of you might just think we're crazy shippers, and maybe we are, but we're not a joke. In fact, when we're not the Chair Factory, we go by another name:
